1st "real" hair cut

She was so excited to go get her hair cut. I had just taken the 2 older girls for haircuts the week before. And then Brian buzzed Jacks head a few days after that. She was feeling left out. She wanted her hair cut. She talked about it for days.Brian finally came to his senses and agreed that really fine hair looks better short (rather than his preferd long). And that I should cut her hair.
It was always in her face. Always ratty and messy. It was holding her back from reaching her true cuteness potential!
So, I made the appointment. She sat so still. Never moved. And never stopped smiling. She was so happy. That was about 2 weeks ago. She still talks about her "beautiful hair cut". She loves it and so do we. Short. Layered. Out of her face!

Easter

Yep, you got it. This is my one awesome easter picture this year. Nice huh? I am such a looser about pictures. I always have great intentions. Then, Kennedy starts screaming because she walked in the wet grass with no shoes on and her feet are freezing! So this one picture is after that melt down. I put shoes on her and changed possing location to this much more LAME one. Snapped my one picture and we were done. I was done!
Notice the girls skirts if you will before you become borred with my blog and move on. Aren't they wonderful?

Tragedy has struck!

Or not:) I picked up Jack from school today and find him bruised and scratched......."April Fools" he yells and laughs. I take a look around and there is a class full of black eyes and scratched faces. They all thought it was pretty cool.

Brave and Beautiful

I am so proud and in awe of these two girls. About 3 weeks ago they had their 3rd 1st day of school this year! They started out the year in Pleasant Grove. But that only lasted for about 2 months. Then they spent about 4 months in Highland. And now they will finish out the school year in Orem. It has been a crazy time for them. But they put on their (semi)happy face and just went with it. I know from experience how difficult it can be to jump from school-to-school. Always starting over. Never sticking around. But these two beautiful girls have been so brave and strong.Obvioulsy you have gathered from this post that we have moved, again. But unfortunately it is not our "forever" house. Another move is inevidable. But, we will be here in this house for a while at least. Not planning on switching schools on the girls for a long time, I hope. Moving sucks!

Baptism

Isn't she gorgeous?Of course I forgot my camera and had to take these snapshots after we got home:(
It was a really nice day. The stake.....(i dont know)baptism lady....gave her a dress to put on(rather than the jumpsuit). She was the cutest thing I have ever seen. It was simple, of course but tied in the back to fit and went all the way down the the floor. So much more flattering! I loved it, and wished a had a picture of her and her dad together. But no, once again I am an idiot!
Anywho, thanks to all those that came to support her. And to those that "did stuff" at the baptism. You know who you are:) We love Madelynn. Thank you for loving her too!

Madelynn turned 8!

The dinner. Rib City. That is where she wanted to go. What can I say? The girl loves her ribs:)
The cake. Madelynn wanted a turtle cake this year. Well, this is what I came up with. Not really what she had in mind. But I think she really liked the way it turned out. Brian and I molded the turtles out of laffy taffys and tootsie rolls:)
Glitter toes! I checked the girls out early at took them to the Pink Parlour on State in A.F. The said they felt like queens up in the tall chairs. They loved it!
The ear piercing! Scarred and excited. She never backed down. It hurt a little more than she expected. But it was over very quickly, and within a few minutes she was fine and said they didnt hurt at all anymore. It was a good day. We did alot of shopping and wandering around the mall: Claires, Justice, Barnes and Noble.
It was the year of the stuffed animal for Madelynn this time around. That is all she wanted. She ended up with 6 new stuffed animals! Don't ask why. I have no idea why we have to keep adding to the pile:(

Happy 5th, Smack-Attack

Jackson had a 2 part birthday celebration this year. There was cake and ice cream with grandparents the night before the big day. Then on his actually birthday, a party with his cousins. He is obsessed with Halo right now. Everything is Halo. But, because Halo has a Mature rating you cannot find little kid "stuff" anywhere. I ended up finding some guy on line that sends you files of printable birthday paraphernalia so that Jack could have a Halo party. I set up an obstacle course for the boys, gave them dart guns, turned on some Halo music, and let them have at it. His best birthday ever! :)
